We believe the best way to experience Pinehurst is in person. Join us for a guided campus tour, attend an Open Day, or book a private visit at a time that suits you. Choosing a school is a big decision, and sometimes it helps to hear from someone who’s been there. If you’d like, we can connect you with a current Pinehurst parent who can share their family’s experiences, answer your questions, and offer honest insights into school life. We’re proud of our supportive, close-knit community – and we’re here to help you feel right at home.

When you’re ready, completing our Online Application Form is easy and straightforward. Once submitted, our Admissions team will be in touch to let you know what to expect next and answer any further questions. We’ll support you every step of the way.

New Entrants (Year 1)

New Entrants start school at Pinehurst at the start of the term closest to their 5th birthday

When to apply: Two terms before your child is due to start school.

What to expect: We will be in touch as soon as the enrolment process begins for your child’s cohort. We will provide comprehensive details about what we need from your family e.g. a short family video. Our team reviews all applications and selects families for in-person interviews. All families are notified of the outcome at the same time.

Application deadlines:

• Term 4, 2025 – Apply by 11 April 2025
• Term 1, 2026 – Apply by 27 June 2025
• Term 2, 2026 – Apply by 19 September 2025
• Term 3, 2026 – Apply by 5 December 2025

Years 2–6

• Applications are processed as they arrive.
• Due to high demand, places are limited and there may be a waiting list.
• If a place becomes available, we’ll arrange an interview with you and your child.
• We encourage you to contact our Admissions Team to discuss your child’s possibilities and learn more about the process.

Years 7 and 9

• These are our main entry points to College, with most new places available at these year levels.
• 2026 intake application deadline: 31 May 2025 (now closed)
• Students are invited to submit a short video about themselves and take an entrance test. Selected students will be invited for interviews.
• We’ll be in touch as soon as the enrolment process begins for your child’s year group. You’ll receive full details about what’s needed – like an enrolment test or a short introduction video. Our team carefully reviews all applications and invites selected students for in-person interviews. Once the process is complete, we notify all families of the outcome at the same time.

Years 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13

• Limited places are available; applications are added to our waiting list.
• Interviews and offers are made as places arise.
• If your child has exceptional circumstances or special talents, we welcome you to get in touch.

For Year 11-13, we consider all applications on merit, and will interview any students that we feel may benefit from a Pinehurst education. It is unusual for us to take students in Year 13 unless they have completed Year 12 in the Cambridge curriculum, but we take a small number of Year 12 students every year who demonstrate the aptitude and commitment to benefit from a Pinehurst education.
